Life is funny. I remember how irritated I was when I found PDFs on the web, when HTML worked so well. But in those days PDFs took a long time to download; while during the three intervening decades browser developers have yet to work out how to properly print HTML files (or maybe it's the web developers who are incompetent; I don't care). So these days I prefer to host PDFs.
